History
Rajah was found in January, 2005 with his cagemate, Kaela, wandering a highway between Gaston and Cleveland counties near Charlotte, NC. Both cubs were picked up by Animal Control and sent to the NC Zoo for quarrantine. They found a permanent home at the CPT and arrived on May 3, 2005.

Rajah and Kaela adjusted to their new home almost immediately, and wasted no time before they were playing with toys in their new habitat. They were soon greeting volunteers and tours with chuffles and happily destroying the 2 small cedar trees in their enclosure (the trees only survived another week).

Rajah is already becoming a personable tiger, eager to say hello to visiting fans. His characteric male nose is ready to check out anything on his turf! But investigation must give way to playtime for a romp in the sprinkler or for a good wrestling match with Kaela.

The CPT is so happy to welcome its new boy to our family as he proudly represents our return to rescues!
