Micro Tiger

Micro

Date of Birth

Date of Death:
3/22/2006

History
Micro was one of our Virginia Girls. As the story goes, 3 tigers were found shut up in a cattlecar in Virginia. They were malnourished, living in filth. Rescued by Virginia's Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, they found a home at CPT, where they were slowly introduced again to sunlight and open spaces.

The 3 sisters were named after 3 famous Civil War battles: Antietam, Manassas, and Shiloh.

Shiloh's name at some point became Micro, and this sweet girl enjoyed many years at CPT in the company of her fellow survivors. After Antietam died of cancer, Micro and Manassas kept the faith of their story; shy representatives waiting to greet those who venture into the deepest part of the compound.

Micro left our family in March, 2006. CPT's family treasures her memory by visiting Manassas- the sole remaining VA Girl.

Tribute by Amanda Byrne.
