History
Henry certainly found a haven at CPT. He and Cato Jaguar were found at a junkyard in Goldsboro, NC. They were eating food straight from dog food cans, which left their mouths cut and sore. Henry had a bone sticking out from his tail. In the hands of private owners, Henry had been declawed on all 4 feet, a condition that became more crippling as he aged.

Special Thanks to WRAL for video.

Henry was a private fellow and had an appropriate retreat in the shade next to Romeo and Shalimar, close enough for visits from dedicated volunteers, but off the beaten path. He lived with Chancy leopard. Although Henry never became very personable, his rescue and our ability to give him a better life was a source of inspiration.

In his last years, Henry's crippled feet required pain medication to keep him comfortable. Over time, taking the medication took its toll on Henry's kidneys, and CPT had to make the difficult decision to euthanize. Despite the trials of his life, CPT staff estimate Henry to have been at least 20 years old.
