Shade Campaign


In March, CPT began a campaign to provide shade tarps for 12 animals at CPT that really needed additional shade before the summer. The Shade Sponsorship covered the average cost of materials per shade, and several CPT volunteers were set to put the shades together.

The response to the campaign was so tremendous that as of April 1st, CPT has received 42 Shade Sponsorships. Many more animals than the initial 12 will be receiving additional shade. CPT has already acquired the tarp material and expects to begin placing the new shades in approximately 2 weeks.

The 12 animals initially identified to receive shades were Comet Caracal, Harpo Serval, Todd Serval, Murray Serval, Isabella Tiger, Bocca Caracal, Bok Binturong, Ragsdale Caracal, Cheyenne Caracal, Curry Caracal, Cholo Binturong, and Collette Serval.
