Call for Volunteers


CPT is planning its first Black Tie & Tails Ball, a formal gala event scheduled for February 2008. We need experienced volunteers to serve on the following committees:

• Coordinating Committee - This committee is responsible for coordinating the activities of the various subcommittees and will serve as the decision-making body for the event.
• Auction Subcommittee – This subcommittee is responsible for obtaining and organizing auction items for the live and silent auction. This includes obtaining items and readying them for auction, securing an auctioneer, and planning the logistics of how the auction will run.
• Entertainment Subcommittee – This subcommittee is responsible for securing a venue and all other items related to the entertainment for the evening. This includes securing a band, ensuring the proper arrangements have been made for serving alcohol, and developing a menu.
• Logistics Subcommittee – This subcommittee is responsible for planning the details of the event to ensure it runs smoothly. They are responsible for arranging security, taxi services, decorations, storage, floor plan and equipment rentals.
• Marketing Subcommittee – This subcommittee is responsible for marketing this event to the public. They are responsible for the materials for the event, ticket sales, invitations and general advertising.
• Sponsorship Subcommittee – This subcommittee is responsible for helping to cover the event cost through sponsorships. They are responsible for identifying sponsorship opportunities, developing sponsorship materials, and securing sponsorships.
