¿Hablas Español?
CPT hopes to offer regular Spanish tours in the future, but needs fluent bilingual volunteers to establish the infrastructure to support them.
Many of the currently endangered wildcat species- jaguars, cougars, ocelot, margay, Geoffrey's cat, pampas cat, and more, are in Spanish-speaking countries. Some of these species are represented at CPT. As the Triangle area has a large and growing Latino population, CPT has a tremendous opportunity to have a positive impact with conservation education in Spanish.
CPT needs fluent Spanish/English bilingual volunteers for the following roles:
- Spanish-speaking attorney - to create a Spanish version of our release forms.
- Translators to translate portions of the CPT website.
- Volunteers to answer the phone and take tour reservations from Spanish callers.
- Tour Guides
If you are interested in volunteering, contact Al Ummatov at (919) 542-4684 for more information.
